These days, many countries have a lot of common controversial issues. One of them is assisted suicide. The word ‘Assisted Suicide’ means is that the practice of having a medically assisted death.  Due to these medicine methods, people who are having fatal disease can die without waiting their final day if they want to die. As you can see the word suicide, it means killing someone else. So there are a lot of controversial events. Some think that this method is different from real suicide since patients want to die. Others think that absolutely different ways. In my opinion, assisted suicide should be abolished because there are several problems even though many patients want to die.

First, many people who are supporting assisted suicide claim that every patients who are having incurable disease have hard time to suffering risk of such disease. Every day they need to have injection and medicines to reduce risk of disease. It will be terrible to have those kinds of moments every day and every week. Due to these kinds of hardness, many patients having fatal disease want to die and they really choose assisted suicide to escape the risk. Also, to deciding assisted suicide is still the patients’ job. So there is no one will give pressure to choose assisted suicide.  Since deciding opinion is there job, many people think that assisted suicide is reasonable. However, the fact is that patients especially who are suffer under the fatal disease cannot decide correctly or they can change their mind easily. Only the time when they want to die is having risk. In other words, they do not suffer risk all day long. So I would say that they are not having normal mentality when they are having risk. Therefore, decision of assisted suicide from patients may not be right decision so it is hard to practice assisted suicide based on patients’ decision.

Secondly, people who are upholding assisted suicide insisted that patients’ family having hard time to see them suffering risk. Patients will suffer because of strong medicine. Also they might have a lot of side effect from strong medicine and sometimes their body is not fit to these kinds of medicine.  When patient have side effect such as vomiting, their family couldn’t observe those kinds of phenomenon because patient’s body and face will not stay in normal. So people who support assisted suicide strongly believe that assisted suicide should be legalized for patients’ family. It is true that seeing one of family member who suffer serious risk is very awful; however, sending one of their family to the heaven is more awful. Let’s assume that one of your family such as parents or children decide assist suicide and die. Does your daily life will sustain as usually? I would say no. They are one of your life companions and existed every day at near you. You might feel lonely and suffer melancholia because you really miss them. It is true that your heart will calm down after long time, but to reach that period it will hurt you a lot because you are lost someone. Therefore, I’m against with assisted suicide.

Third, since assisted suicide appeared many patients can die easily if they want to die and stop suffering risk. It will be very good way to patients having hard time and give a lot of advantages. If all over the world agree assisted suicide and legalized, there will be several problem will happen. Among them, I want to focus on one view which is people might abuse this methods. In many country, there are a lot of patients want to die even though they have health body because they have no family or hard to support medicine cost. If assisted suicide is allowed, these people will decide to die easily. In other words, people might handle their important life without careful and there will be immoral problem.  The life is most important thing and we should handle with very careful because making one life is not easy and many people help each other to make one life. So I think that assisted suicide should be abolished.

In brief, it is true that assisted suicide can give advantages both patients and patients’ family; however, there are many problems due to this method. Since assisted suicide is based on patients’ opinion, it is not good way to process because patients cannot make right decision and their decision may be changed easily. Also death of patients can give more bad effect to their family members than seeing of patients suffers risk. Moreover, if this method is legalized, some people might use bad way so the meaning of life will be lighter and make a lot of immoral issues. With these reasons, I certainly believe that assisted suicide should be abolished.

There are several important rules when you are driving a car.In my opinion, among them do not doing drunken driving. Nowadays, many people ignore this important rule. In my country Korea, there is specific time to catch drunken driver. If you are catch by police, you may cancel your driver license. Even though this heavy punishment, many people do drunken driving. It is very dangerous if you are drunk when you are driving. Alcohol makes your brain hard to make decision and understand situations. When you are driving, making decisions and understanding situation is very important. You need to decide when you need to stop and change the path. Due to this problem, the accident possibility is high and it will interrupt other drivers since you can’t control your mind. With these reason, I strongly believe that people should not do drunken driving.

Last few weeks I spend a lot of time to write two essays. Each essay has different characteristic. The first one is logical division essay and the second one is cause &effect essay. For me the second essay was harder than first one. The first reason is that I was not familiar with this type of essay and I couldn’t understand all characteristic of cause & effect essay even though I read book. Also I usually practice writing logical division type essay due to Toefl test. The second reason is when I write cause & effect essay, I couldn’t use outside sources. Because of this reason, my idea was too limited to write whole essay. Therefore, writing cause & effect essay was more difficult to me than writing logical division essay.

Benefits of recycling

Recycling is one of the famous trends in the world these-days. According to recent research, doing recycle can give us a lot of advantages such as making our environment more clear and saving money for making materials. Since people acknowledge these benefits, they try to recycle materials as many as they can. There are several ways that you can understand how recycling is helpful for our lives.

The first benefit of recycling is making our atmosphere better. When you recycle, there is only little trash that you really need to get rid of. The ways of get rid of trash are either burying or burning. Sometimes people are burning recyclable materials such as plastic bottles and aluminum cans. When they do this event, it makes bad atmosphere factor; carbon monoxide (CO), which makes bad condition of air so that it give us serious health problem called destroying our important cells. However, if we are doing recycling with recyclable materials, we don’t need to worry about this dangerous problem.

The second benefit of recycling is making our nature healthier. These days our nature is getting worse because people tend to make a lot of new materials with them even though there are many recyclable things. When you recycle materials such as newspapers, you will see better condition of nature. The reason is that you can re-use materials with better conditions if you recycle materials. In other words, we don’t need to make new materials for our life. This events can give better situation to our nature.

These days many people try to recycle everything such as clothes and resources. I think this trend is very reasonable because if we recycle materials such as clothes and resources, we can save money and protect environments. Sometimes people throw away plastic bottles or aluminum cans even though they can be recycle into other resources. If we do not recycle, we need to spend money to make new resources, however, we recycle resources we can save money to make new one. Also, all the trash often buried when they are gathered. If we bury trash in to land, land will be sick. So we better recycle resources.

I just graduated from Kyung-Sin high school in Korea. I am a freshman at CMU right now.

1. I have done many writing papers in english such as homework, essay, and test. Among these experience, the most memorable thing is toefl’s writing test, because it was really hard for me. The process that I used in this test was brain storming and then write down my material right away. The brain storming helped me a lot to make my article more coherence even though I couldn’t finish up my article. From this experience, I really enjoyed that I can know about my weakness things and scores . Also, this test made me a goal which is study hard to write perfect essays as American does. I think that the most difficult thing was time limit. It was really hard to make a sketch and write a perfect essay. Anyway, it was good experience for me.

2.Actually, I don’t enjoy writing. That’s because I love talking. Also I didn’t have much time to write when my teen-ages because of study. Usually, when we write something we have to spend a lot of time to finish up. This reason also make me hard to get a writing hobby because I hate spend lots of time to do only one thing. In my country there are a lot of writing homework for summer vacation such as impression of after reading a book and etc. I only use my native language in writing section for doing these homework.

3. I always write diary since 8years-old. At the very first time my parent and teachers make me to do that. However, these days writing diary is one of my daily schedules. I write every happenings that I went through that day. Also I write my resolution every pages.

4.In my opinion, the most important thing that I want learn from this class is writing skills. For me, writing is most hardest thing and also writing is most important thing to get a good grade if you are attending American University. So I really want to improve my writing skills. To achieve my goal, I’ll do my best.
